What we do is rooted in what humanity needs to thrive.
So let's get started.

By working together, we can transform our shared corner of the world. Our many services are designed to help you deliver programs that enable your organization to achieve its financial and societal objectives and its people realize their wellbeing goals — professionally, physically, emotionally, and financially.

Worldwide, organizations are increasingly setting goals and specific targets for the benefit of society, often guided by the United Nations' Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), as shown here.

In our corner of the world, we can help you contribute to the attainment of your organization's goals in this area (whether labeled "ESG," "CSR," or "Sustainability" goals). We'll work
with you to ensure you
achieve your people-centric goals, in a way that's aligned with the SDGs and your
organization's specific objectives.

The UN SDGs @ Work

This isn't about "doing good" (merely) for the sake of doing good. It's about nurturing employees and their families so they can perform at their best. It's about having what you need to attract the talent you need to enable a high-performing workforce. It's about remaining competitive in a changing world.

What follows is a quick-reference, not-all-inclusive guide to how employers can support the achievement of the SDGs within their workplaces in two ways: First, through the delivery of equitable, accessible, and effective HR and total rewards programs designed inclusively across all dimensions of diversity. And next, by bringing the  "humanity" lens to those SDGs that otherwise appear to be outside the purview of HR.

SDG 1
No Poverty

  • Pay living wages to employees, and ensuring their suppliers do the same.

  • Enable meaningful advancement opportunities, ensuring equal access across all dimensions of diversity.

  • Support continuing education for their employees and becoming actively involved in the schools within their communities.

SDG 2
Zero Hunger

  • Adopt sustainable management practices of onsite cafeterias.

  • Collabore with local schools and non-profits.

SDG 3
Good Health & Wellbeing

  • Sponsor equitable, accessible, effective, and inclusive health and retirement programs.

  • Implement programs that address all aspects of individual wellbeing (physical, emotional, financial, professional, and social/community) in a manner that addresses unique needs across all dimensions of diversity.

  • Assess community resources to determine gaps and partnering with local governments and organizations to address those gaps.

SDG 4
Quality Education

  • Fund tuition reimbursement programs and provide reimbursement for a wide range of educational opportunities; i.e., not just 4-year and advanced degree programs.

  • Implement and provide ongoing support of inclusive, multi-faceted mentorship programs.

  • Offer paid internships and/or apprenticeship programs in line with industry best-practices.

SDG 5
Gender Equality

  • Ensure pay equity is in place in total, not just within one or two programs.

  • Adopt practices and implement technology to ensure unbiased practices in hiring, performance management and career development.

  • Review and as needed modify polices to ensure they address individual needs across all dimensions of diversity.

SDG 6
Clean Water & Sanitation

  • Collaborate with Facilities team to identify ways in which individuals can adopt better behaviors.

  • Leverage existing wellbeing initiatives and communication platforms to educate and inspire positive behavior among your employees, their families, and the communities in which you operate.

SDG 7
Affordable & Clean Energy

  • Engage with Facilities team to identify ways in which individuals can adopt better behaviors.

  • Collaborate with all applicable departments to adopt workplace practices that maximize energy efficiency, whether that work is performed in an office, plant, customer-facing establishment, or in the home.

SDG 8
Decent Work & Economic Growth

  • SDGs 1 & 3 plus...

  • Foster accessible, safe, and positive workplaces.

  • Partner with local organizations to hire from underserved/marginalized communities.

  • Sponsor programs, such as “take-a-family-member-to-work days” that spotlight job opportunities and foster a sense of community.

SDG 9
Industry Innovation & Infrastructure

  • Collaborate with peers from other organizations (without divulging proprietary information): Discuss common challenges and successes; ideate on new solutions and jointly run pilot programs.

  • Partner with these same peers as well as with vendors to develop and implement workplace and community programs at scale.

SDG 10
Clean Water & Sanitation

  • Recruit from disadvantaged and marginalized communities across the dimensions of diversity, both for full- and part-time positions as well as internships and apprenticeships.

  • Assess practices across the business to ensure that opportunities are accessible to all, including oft-overlooked communities, such as the disabled and neuro-diverse.

SDG 11
Sustainable Cities & Communities

  • Engage in community outreach; play an active role in the leadership of the community for the betterment of society.

  • Adopt a robust employee volunteering program that is integrated into the operational rhythm of the business; consider purpose-based sabbaticals.

SDG 12
Responsible Consumption & Production

  • Engage employees from across the organization ideating new approaches to how they work / how products are manufactured to identify areas of improvement.

  • Adopt a reduce > reuse > recycle strategy throughout all operations.

  • Collaborate with Facilities to identify ways in which individuals can adopt better behaviors to support the achievement of environmental targets and reduce costs.

  • Leverage existing wellbeing initiatives and communication platforms to educate and inspire positive behavior.

SDG 13
Climate Action

  • SDGs 6, 7, 11, & 12 plus..

  • Collaborate with other departments on the completion of a Materiality Assessment, bringing the HR perspective in assessing the impact individual employee activities have on the organization’s carbon footprint.

  • Help revise existing and craft new policies that contribute to the achievement of organization-wide climate targets.

SDG 14
Life Below Water

SDG 16
Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions

  • In addition to work aligned with the other SDGs...

  • Support employees efforts to get involved in their communities.

  • Encourage voting by providing time off to all employees on voting day.

SDG 17
Partnership for the Goals

  • Engage all stakeholders in an ongoing dialogue regarding how well the organization is advancing the UN SDGs in the organization's workplaces of and those of its suppliers, and within the communities in which it operates.

  • Explore ways to further partner with all stakeholders – employees, as well as customers, suppliers, communities, and shareholders – to achieve your organization’s goals while deepening these relationships.
